In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also brings the game's latest no-cost story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
